TERMS OF SERVICE FOR STR AUDIT SHIELD PRO

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using the software platform operated by STR Audit Shield Pro. By registering an account, utilizing our tracking dashboard, or subscribing to our paid features, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.

1. Account Registration and Use

You must provide accurate and complete email and profiling information when setting up an account. You are solely responsible for safeguarding the credentials you use to log into the application and for any activities or actions performed under your account session.

2. Subscription Tiers, Gating, and Billing Operations

STR Audit Shield Pro offers access to its recordkeeping services under three distinct account tiers:

  • Free Trial Tier: New accounts automatically initialize with full operational access for a 14-day trial period. Your account status during this window is displayed as "trialing." If no paid tier is selected at the end of the 14-day period, feature access will be restricted.
  • Solo Tier ($9/month): Provides tracking for a maximum limit of one (1) active rental property. Access to the comprehensive "3rd Party Hours" data logging inputs is locked. Solo users can see the Material Participation dashboard meter visualization, but contractor and third-party values default to zero.
  • Premium Tier ($19/month): Grants unlimited property entry management, unrestricted "3rd Party Hours" log tracking, full access to the comparison metrics engine, and priority system support queues.

All financial billing, recurring renewals, promo code validations, and credit card processing are automated through Stripe. Payments are billed in advance on a recurring monthly schedule and will automatically renew unless canceled by the user through their internal Billing interface before the next monthly cycle begins.

3. Ownership of User Data and Export Rights

You maintain full operational ownership over all raw property addresses, odometer entries, and material participation time logs that you input into the software. The platform grants you the ability to download, export, and save your compiled records into standalone PDF or CSV file layouts at any time while your subscription plan remains active.

4. Crucial Tax and Legal Disclaimer

STR Audit Shield Pro is strictly a recordkeeping, data log organization, and documentation tool. The platform, its software, and its generated PDF/CSV reporting outputs do not constitute formal tax, legal, or financial advice.

Proving compliance with IRS material participation regulations, meeting the 100-hour short-term rental safe harbor rule, and establishing that your personal property management hours exceed any individual contractor's hours remain your sole legal responsibility. Tax laws, cost segregation studies, and bonus depreciation qualifications are highly subject to change and vary depending on individual financial circumstances. You are strongly advised to review your final generated export reports with a qualified CPA, tax attorney, or financial professional before executing major tax filings or reporting active business deductions.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, STR Audit Shield Pro, its developers, and its operators shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from audit adjustments, tax penalties, back taxes, or the loss of deductions arising from your use of or inability to use the software application.

6. Termination of Service

You can stop using our services and cancel your monthly plan at any time through the Billing page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate account access if a user violates these terms or fails to settle outstanding monthly subscription payments following standard grace periods processed by Stripe.

7. Governing Law and Contact
